Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

We are looking for animal lovers to join our team of pet care professionals. We have openings for pet carers in the Orleans-Vanier-Downtown & Nepean-Bells Corners-Kanata & Greely-Manotick-Findlay Creek-Ottawa South. Pet Sitter/Dog Walker Responsibilities

  • Cat care - litter box, feed, water, medications (sometimes), play, snuggle
  • Dog care - walks, backyard playtime, feed, medications (sometimes), snuggle
  • Overnight care - sleep overnight in a client's home, keep the regular routine for their pets, walks, feed, medications (sometimes), lots of snuggles
  • Home care - security check (perimeter), plant watering, bring in mail/packages, move curtains, alternate lights, putting down garbage bins or bringing in
  • Miscellaneous - as needed per the office’s direction
  • Client updates via email
  • Goes without saying - MUST LOVE ANIMALS

Expectations

  • Show up in the appropriate service window
  • Appropriate attire - no dangly jewelry
  • Communication with office
  • Report oddities in animals (health, behaviour, appearance) and home to office
  • Client updates
  • Be prepared for schedule changes
  • Team player
  • Be able to do morning, evening, and weekend check-ins for some animals (usually meds involved)
  • Attention to detail - critical
  • MUST HAVE A VEHICLE AND VALID FULL LICENSE
